Loba began operations in 2011 with the dream of brewing the best beer in Mexico and competing with the best breweries in the world.
In 2015, we found our home in the heart of Guadalajara, near the Santa Tere Market. This is where our brewery, tasting room, and restaurant, LOBA GASTROPUB, are located, where you can experience our wide variety of beer styles.
Today, our high standards of quality and product excellence at an international level have allowed us to export to California, a highly competitive market where we have achieved significant and steady growth.
Today, we distribute these 3 styles in the USA:
LOBITA – Neo-Mexican Lager: Light, refreshing, and easy-drinking, Lobita is a Neo-Mexican Lager brewed with the unique Medusa hop. With a crisp golden color, reduced gluten, and just 3.7% ABV, it delivers all the flavor of an unfiltered craft beer in a lighter, more approachable style. Perfect for warm days, great food, and good company.
PARAÍSO – Mexican Gose Ale: A refreshing Mexican Gose brewed with guava, offering a perfect balance of fruity, tart, and saline notes. Light amber in color with a smooth body and lingering finish, Paraíso delivers a uniquely vibrant drinking experience. Seasonal Flavor: Guava ABV: 4.5%
ALFA – Session IPA: A bright and refreshing Session IPA bursting with notes of mango, peach, grapefruit, and citrus. Light-bodied with a balanced bitterness, crisp finish, and exceptional drinkability, Alfa delivers bold hop character without the heaviness. ABV: 4.8% • IBU: 50
With our beer portfolio, we aim to enrich the market with styles that did not previously exist in Mexico; we were pioneers in brewing styles such as IPL, Gose, and Pre-Prohibition Lager.
Today, we produce 9 beer styles: Lobita (Light Lager), Clandestina (Pre-Prohibition Lager), Sport (Witbier), Alteña (Altbier), Alfa (India Pale Ale), Negra (American Porter), Paraíso (Gose Ale), Sueño Rosa (Gose), and Loba 8 (Hazy Pale Ale).
Our obsession with beer quality led us to receive the distinction of Best Medium-Sized Brewery in Mexico in 2016. In 2019, we were recognized as the Best Brewery in North America by the International Beer Challenge, in addition to earning more than 100 medals and awards in different countries throughout our history.
